Work Truck Wednesday Features Big Van In A Small Space

This big van has a small footprint, has so much room, and features some excellent interior management of tools, parts, and more. There is still plenty of room for larger items. Just imagine all the different contractors who could use such a rig. Electricians, plumbers, remodelers, mobile repair services, and many more.

The turning radius is very tight with this Chevrolet Express Cutaway 3500 chassis. It is powered by a 4.3 V6 and automatic transmission for good economy and power simultaneously. The body is a 12' Supreme Spartan Cargo Straight Van with FRP sidewalls, a roll-up rear door for full access to the rear, and an air deflector built on the front roof section for less drag.

But the best is the van interior features to help keep your stuff organized and ready to access. In addition, consider the billboards on both sides and the rear door to advertise your business wherever you drive!

Work Truck Wednesday Shows Off Unique Contractor Body

We could call this a Contractor Body on steroids! The base is the Silverado 5500 Medium-Duty chassis with 19,500 lbs, gross vehicle weight rating, 6.6 Duramax diesel engine mated with the Allison automatic, easy entry, with plenty of comfort and convenience features to make traveling from job to job a delight. The aluminum wheels make this rig a looker too!

To this strong foundation, we add the 12' Harbor Contractor Body with a double box feature. The top doors open upward, and the lower doors open downward. So much storage is available here. Plus, two huge underbed toolboxes and a cantilevered forklift loadable rack leave access to the rear of the flatbed for a workbench. Add fold-down rear gates, a wide step number, and a trailer hitch with a wiring plug. It also features a backup camera.

The discussion is cohosted by Hans Damen, managing partner of Europe-based Fleet360, and Mike Antich, Editor of Automotive Fleet magazine, based in the U.S. and following North American fleet market trends in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico

In this episode, we examine the development of artificial intelligence (AI), its applications within fleet management, and its impact, both positive and negative

Today’s topics include:
• Five key areas in which AI itself says it can provide benefits for fleet managers.
• How AI enhances the foundational elements of vehicle telematics systems.
• Some negative impacts of AI.
