Work Truck Wednesday and the HD Plumber's Body

 

This enclosed service body is often called a Plumber's Body because plumbers love its features. Yet many other contractors and jobbers love this truck body. It's enclosed to keep the weather and prying eyes out of the inner cargo area. It is just like a service body on the outside with a lot of lockable storage. And most of the Plumber's Bodies are built on a 1-ton cutaway chassis, and they do a great job. This version is mounted on a Silverado Medium Duty 5500 to be able to carry significantly more weight than those mounted on the lighter duty cutaway chassis. This truck can carry your heaviest loads with a 19,500 lb. gross vehicle weight rating.

The chassis is equipped with the Duramax diesel and Allison automatic transmission. This combination also gives you fuel efficiency and enough power to tow trailers. This Royal RSV Plumber Style body has an aluminum roll-up door for easy entry and no concerns about doors being in the way.
