Work Truck Wednesday: The Ever-Useful 12' Contractor Body On New Silverado 4500

 

The Contractor Body is easily one of the most useful truck bodies. It begins with a 12' flatbed platform, then 8' drop-door open top lid toolboxes are mounted on top, a tapered headboard, HD forklift loadable material rack, load separator at end of upper toolboxes, 60" underbed toolboxes, dock bumper with step, and receiver and plug. Carry cargo and tools, wheelbarrows, gear, equipment, and tools, parts, and other items in the toolboxes. All of the usefulness is mounted on the new Silverado medium-duty 4500 with more than enough carrying capacity and fired with the GM Duramax diesel and Allison automatic. 

Get the job done by taking what you need to and from the job. Efficiency matters. The Contractor Body is an excellent choice!

Safe Load BW Insert Gooseneck Ball - A Lifestyle

A gooseneck hitch is very similar to a 5th wheel hitch in that it mounts in the bed of the truck directly above or slightly in front of the rear axles.
