The Knapheide KUV truck body is as popular as it is useful. Often called a Plumber Body, it is a great truck body for a wide variety of trades and contractors. Essentially this is a service body with a roof so one can stand up straight inside. In addition, it has long shelves inside with an outside door to access those shelves making it perfect for carrying pipe to jobs as needed. Each side cabinet has a lock and there is also a Master Locking System to make working out of those compartments so much more efficient. This Knapheide KUV is a considered 13' model (actual length is 12' 6") so it has more compartments on the side and more space inside.
This great body is mounted on the Chevrolet 4500 LCF and its most valuable feature is the tight turning radius because even with this long body, the overall length is about the same as an extended cab pickup and even has a shorter wheelbase than that truck. It also has great visibility, is rather fun to drive, and has a gas V8 and automatic with many other features.
