Work Truck Wednesday Celebrates The Contractor Body!

Today is Work Truck Wednesday and we're showing off a versatile work truck that is commonly called the Contractor Body. Why? Because so many contractors love this truck. It begins its life as a flatbed. In this case, a 12' flatbed. To that, we add two 8' long toolboxes mounted on top of the bed with fold-down doors and open-top lids like service bodies have. Then, there's the tapered headboard giving the truck body a smooth look as if it were made for this chassis. Next, we add a heavy-duty forklift loadable material rack, fold-down short gates around the back, a load divider inside the bed at the back of the toolboxes to be able to separate some loads. To top it all off, we add a great rear heavy-duty bumper with a full-width step plate and last is the trailer receiver and wiring plug. Sorry, one more thing: Look at those 60" long underbed toolboxes!

Oh, one more thing of importance. This great Scelzi body is mounted on the Chevrolet Silverado Medium-Duty 4500 with 16,500 lbs. GVWR, plenty of bells and whistles, and designed to carry the load for a long, long time especially since it is matched with a famous Duramax diesel and Allison HD automatic!
