Work Truck Wednesday: Working In The Field With A Harbor Combo Body

The Combo Body is such a great work truck for the field because it carries the tools and has space for parts and equipment and has a built-in work platform at a good height to help get work done effectively and efficiently. The unit shown here is a 12' Combo Body that has two huge vertical compartments at the front of the body that are 22" deep, a sizeable horizontal compartment over the rear wheel, and a small compartment below the work deck. This unit also has a cantilevered forklift-loadable rack which allows an unobstructed work platform with fold-down rear contractor gates. The floor is all heavy-duty diamond plate steel. This unit also has stainless steel open-top lids for storage of long items with the dividers removed or smaller items with the dividers installed. All of this and the quality of a Harbor body.

The chassis that supports this great body is the Chevrolet Medium-Duty Silverado 5500 with plenty of capacity at 19,500 lbs. GVWR, the famous Duramax diesel and Allison transmission combination, and is loaded with features to make work-life more enjoyable going from job to job.
